Medical professionals to include: Doctors, nurses, specialty clinic doctors (those who don't live here but travel in to provide a needed service), nurse practitioners, physician assistants, lab techs, radiology techs, medical staff (office staff, administration, etc.) optometrists, dentists, pharmacists, chiropractors, veterinarians, veterinary technicians/nurses, etc.

Decatur County Fair Board Project Fund

For Decatur County Fair Board to assist with the financial costs associated with the construction of a new 4H Building. This Fund may be used for continual maintenance upkeep of the 4H Building(s), or for future projects of the Decatur County Fair Board that aligns with their mission.

Decatur County Medical Provider Recruitment and Retention Fund

For recruitment of qualified primary care or EMT professionals (including MDs, PAs. APRNs, or EMTs) for benefit of Decatur County.

Decatur Health Care Foundation Inc. Education (Endowment) Fund

​We intend that the income and principal from the Fund be available for distribution in accordance with the charitable purposes set forth in the Bylaws of the Community Foundation forever.

Flora Elizabeth Boutz Edwards Endowment Scholarship Fund

Create an endowment to fund scholarships for graduating seniors of Decatur Community Schools USD #294, Oberlin, Kansas, who wish to continue their education at a higher educational institute; scholarships shall be allowed for private or public universities, including junior colleges and state accredited vocational schools or programs.

Gateway Capital Outlay Endowment Fund

For capital outlay upgrades/repairs to the facility and its contents to include any infrastructural, HVAC, appliance, or device that would typically fall under Capital Outlay type expenditures for the facility.

Gateway Friends Foundation Endowment Fund

To support the needs of the Oberlin Gateway forever, which may include but not limited to - maintaining the facility, building maintenance, operational needs, assisting with rental or leased needs, capital outlay expenditures for improvements, expansions, or new building opportunities.

Grafel Family Fund

The fund shall be expended to benefit the interests of Oberlin and Decatur County, KS including, but not limited to healthcare needs, cultural events, and similar items. In furtherance of those proposes, funds may be granted to other organizations such as the hospital, nursing home, arts and humanities committee, government subdivisions, or organizations outside the community such as McCook Community Hospital, University of Kansas Health Systems, and other entities for services provided to county residents.

General grantmaking to charitable and qualifying organizations, for community projects and programs that benefit the Decatur County Region, and for general operations or projects carried out on behalf of the GROW Decatur County Foundation.

This fund has been established to provide matching scholarships to graduation seniors from USD 294 Oberlin Schools who are in good standing and received a local scholarship, from a pre-approved scholarship list, during the current year's scholarship season.

Julie Brown Johnson GROW Decatur County Scholarship Fund

The charitable purpose of this fund is to recruit and retain an educated workforce in Decatur County, Kansas, to help address educational, economic, and workforce disparities in this rural region by providing student debt relief to eligible applicants. Attracting and keeping skilled workers strengthens local businesses, increases local income, and expands access to essential services in this frontier rural geographic area.
